Prof. Masahiro Asada
Title: Recent progress of RTD THz oscillators and applications (tentative)
Biography: Masahiro Asada received the B.E., M.E., and D.E. degrees in physical electronics from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 1979, 1981, and 1984, respectively. In 1984, he joined the Department of Physical Electronics, Tokyo Institute of Technology as a Research Associate. From 1986 to 1987, he was with the Physics Institute of Stuttgart University, Germany, as a Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. From 1988, he has jointed Tokyo Institute of Technology as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He is currently a Professor in the Institute of Innovative Research, Tokyo Institute of Technology. His current research is on THz devices using nanostructures. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Fellow of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers Japan, and a Fellow of the Japan Society of Applied Physics.
