The Sixth International Workshop on Mobile Terahertz Systems will be held at 5* Kameha Grand Hotel Bonn, Germany, on 3-5 July 2023.

IWMTS sets itself apart from well known THz conferences by focusing on "Mobile THz Technology and corresponding THz Systems" since the organizing committee believes that " will ultimately push THz solutions to mass markets Of course, progress reports on traditional technological advances for THz components and theoretical studies on THz wave propagation as well as related topics are also highly welcome.

The workshop provides a forum for scientists and engineers in this emerging field to exchange the outcome of their research Technical papers describing original contributions to the world of science, technology and applications are welcome Topics of the workshop include (but are not limited to) the following areas (focusing on THz frequencies and mobility):

  •     Antennas and propagation
  •     Mobile THz devices
  •     Modeling, simulation and modeling
  •     Electronic and photonic transceivers
  •     Prototypes and testbeds
  •     Devices and systems
  •     Spectroscopy
  •     Material characterization
  •     Signal Processing
  •     Communications (in particular 6G)
  •     Localization
  •     Identification
  •     Imaging and remote sensing
  •     Beamforming and -management
  •     Applications

The manuscript should be written in English and follow IEEE two column format with single spaced, 10 pt font in the text. The manuscript length should be three to five pages, including all figures, tables, references, and so on.

When preparing your manuscript, please pay also attention to the following:

  • No page numbers and no headers/footers
  • Standard IEEE conference templates for LaTeX/Word formats are found here: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Papers Upload via EDAS

Papers should be submitted through EDAS via the following link: https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=30226.

Important Notices

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and the IEEE/IWMTS societies will take action against any author who has engaged in either practice.

IEEE Web Page on Plagiarism: https://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/rights/plagiarism.html

PLEASE NOTE: To be published in the IWMTS 2022 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEEXplore®, at least one author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full or limited (member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter arranged in advance of the event and who is qualified both to present and answer questions. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IWMTS 2022 Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

Special Issue in IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques

Authors of all papers presented at IWMTS 2023 are invited to submit an extended version of their papers to a Mini-Special Issue of IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques. Every paper will be reviewed in the same manner as all other regular submissions. Further information can be found in this document.
